"FCC" (for home & office use) just more simple now - as long as motherboard is compliant with part 15 of FCC rules, and all other components in the unit are FCC approved then your system is FCC (Doc) approved. Out ordering system is "Build-To-Order" that custom the configuration with what you need, especially the advanced system that not easy to get on the street. Most business system requires system integrator to get all the thermal and ventilation to meet working specification. We do custom configuration that saves you the trouble to do guess job and strongly recommend to have the configuration and integration job handled by local computer guys. You can try to D-I-Y for a $400 - $600 machine, but any system that more than $1,200 should have careful service plan along with the unit, and from authorized system builder to guaranteed the service (both logistic and integration) in the future. Don't try to D-I-Y if you're not sure about what you are doing, the damage maybe costly and always cause trouble for both sides. You can just select a motherboard, whatever you like for Chassis & Power supply, and CPU, Memory to create the basic system to start with. We charge $30 - $60 for barebone and $60+ (depending on your configuration for Server) for whole unit configuration, including latest BIOS update (if any). All units are so-called "white box" and are fully back-up by manufacture's limited warranty. Reseller, consultant, and advanced user can purchase parts only and save the labor charges. "Optional" Microsoft OEM "DSP" software such as Win2K, WinXP Pro, Media Center Edition, Windows Server 2003... ("Full" version vs. "upgrade"; and you get all CD's, manual & registration with Microsoft for a "genuine" product) can be purchased with system. We charge extra $45 - $300 software installation fee (including drivers download & upgrade, if any) depending on the O/S and other LAN/WAN configurations. You can save those software installation service charge if you know how to deal with the fixes, patches and bugs.
